AugustaFuturityStallionAuction.com is operated by Exceleration Designs, Inc. (doing business as Big Sky Internet Design) on behalf of the Augusta Futurity. This policy describes what information we collect on this site and how we use it.
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only collect information you give us directly, by registering as a bidder, emailing us, or otherwise contacting us. When you register to bid we collect your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address. When a payment card is needed, you enter it through our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe stores the card details, and the card number never reaches our server.
We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us or to run the auction, including confirming your registration, processing your bids, and notifying you of a win. We will not share your information with any third party outside our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, for example passing your contact information to a stallion owner after you win a breeding. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you by email in the future to tell you about specials, new offerings, or changes to this policy.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contact from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us using the information at the bottom of this page: see what data we have about you, if any; change or correct any data we have about you; have us delete any data we have about you; or express any concern you have about our use of your data.
Cookies
We use cookies on this site. A cookie is a small piece of data stored by your browser. It helps us recognize a returning visitor and keeps you logged in as a bidder, so you do not have to enter your password on every page. Cookies are not used to collect personally identifiable information. Some of our business partners may use cookies on our site, and we have no access to or control over those cookies.
Links
This site may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those sites.
The Stallion Auction
The stallion auction is the main fundraiser for the Augusta Futurity. Stallion owners generously donate breedings to their stallions, and those breedings are sold through this standard auction format. There is no gambling of any kind on this site and this is not a bidding fee auction. Bidding is free to anyone.
Text Message Alerts
The Augusta Futurity Stallion Auction, operated by Exceleration Designs, Inc. (doing business as Big Sky Internet Design), offers an optional text message alert program to bidders who opt in, including registration confirmations, bid confirmations, outbid alerts, and win and purchase notifications.
Information we collect. When you opt in we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent, including the date, time, and the wording you agreed to.
How we use it. We use your number only to send the alerts you signed up for and to manage your subscription, including confirmation, HELP, and STOP requests.
We do not share mobile information for marketing. No mobile information, meaning phone numbers or SMS opt-in and consent data, will be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share your number only with our messaging provider as needed to deliver these alerts on our behalf, and as required by law.
Consent. Consent to receive text alerts is not a condition of registering or bidding.
Frequency and rates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any alert message to cancel. Reply HELP for help, or contact Sherry Fulmer at 706-823-3238 or [email protected]. Our alerts are sent from a single number shared across the auctions we operate, so replying STOP cancels alerts from all of them, not only this one. To stop alerts for this auction only, use the Turn Off All Text Alerts option on your Text Alerts page.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information such as payment details through the site, that information is encrypted and sent to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in your browser's address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the page. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information, and the servers that store this information are kept in a secure environment.
